Who we are
We are a disability outreach ministry committed to equipping the body of Christ to reach out to people affected by disability. We serve alongside a network of volunteers and churches committed to meeting the needs, providing support and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ among people with disabilities.

What we do
Through wonderfully unique and dynamic programs, we are training and equipping individuals and churches in the area of disability ministry, as well as meeting the spiritual and practical needs of people affected by disabilities.

Our Programs:

Through the Roof – provides training, resources and ongoing support to churches beginning or expanding disability ministries. We host annual training workshops, as well as bi-monthly news letters for those on the front lines of disability ministry. Click here to locate a church in our Through the Roof network of churches.

Family Retreat – summer camp with a kick! Families affected by disability attend a weeklong retreat and are given the opportunity to rest and recharge. Volunteers provide support for families, children with disabilities and able bodied siblings are given the opportunity to try new things, as parents take part in workshops and activities designed especially for them. Wheels for the World – By bringing wheelchairs, bibles and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, the Wheels for the World program is changing lives one wheelchair at a time. The Dallas/Fort Worth office serves the country of Cuba and recruits team members with knowledge in seating wheelchairs, mechanics, Spanish speaking translators and general support. Special Delivery – Sharing gifts of encouragement and the gospel with individuals affected by disability in respite programs, group homes, hospitals, nursing homes or individually. The gifts are free, but the impact is priceless. Please contact our office for more information.

Why we do it
The scripture that guides this ministry comes to us in Luke 14:22 - It is Christ speaking when he says “Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.” He goes on to say, “Go out into the roads and country lanes and MAKE them come in, so that my house will be full.” We are on an exciting adventure here at Joni and Friends and we want to invite you to join us…so that God’s house will indeed be full!
